Epic Rides
Epic Rides in association with the City of Prescott and Prescott National Forest have hosted the Whiskey Off-Road as a grand opener to the City’s summer tourist season for the past decade. This includes a $35,000 cash purse contested by more than 100 worldwide professional mountain bikers plus a further 1,750 participants, supplemented by a vendor and tech expo, child-friendly attractions and live music.
The Seidman Research Institute was commissioned to valuate the total annual economic impact of the 2013 Whiskey Off-Road Challenge for the Tri-City area. This consisted of:
- An online survey of riders;
- A visitor survey; and
- Depth interviews with local bars, restaurants and hoteliers.
