Pakis Foundation
The Pakis Center for Business Philanthropy, named in recognition of Valley entrepreneur Frederick Pakis, engages Arizona companies and their employees that make a direct, positive, and informed impact in the communities in which they live and work.
Managed by the Arizona Community Foundation, the Center is widely recognized as the premier charitable partner for corporate philanthropy in the state. It has two key objectives:
- To approach corporations and encourage them to invest back into the local community.
- To help corporations organize, administer or co-ordinate their own respective philanthropy programs.
In 2015-16, Seidman was commissioned to explore the motives for corporate philanthropy, internal (business) and external (community) impacts, and the importance of disclosure. The study includes seven case studies of best practice from firms headquartered in Arizona.
